Privacy policy

Your details, and what we do with them.

What we collect when you visit this site or book a call, why, who else handles it, and how to have it changed or deleted.

Effective and last updated

The short version

  • We collect only what a booking or an email needs: your name, email address, time zone, the time you pick and anything you choose to tell us.
  • No analytics, no advertising trackers, no cookies of our own. We never sell your details.
  • Three companies help: Cal.com runs the booking calendar, Google holds our calendar, calls and email, and Cloudflare hosts the site.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time, at no charge.

Who we are

Andromeda Studios is the trading name of Rishabh Govindu, a sole proprietor based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Andromeda Studios.

We decide how and why your details are used, which makes us responsible for them: the "controller" under UK and EU law, and the "data fiduciary" under India's.

Write to andromedastudiosweb@gmail.com about anything in this policy. The same person reads every message and answers questions about your data.

What this policy covers

This website, booking a call through it, and emails between you and us before we work together. If you become a client, our agreement with you sets out how we handle the data in your project.

What we collect, and why

When you book a call
Your name, email address and time zone; the date and time you pick; anything you write under "What should we look at?"; your confirmation that you are 18 or over; and a short tag naming the button that brought you to the booking page. We use them to arrange the call, send you the invite and the Google Meet link, prepare for the call and follow up afterwards.
When you email us
Your email address, your name and whatever you write. We use them to reply.
When you visit
Like every website, ours is delivered by a host that sees your IP address, your browser and the pages you ask for. Cloudflare, our host, and Cal.com, when the booking calendar loads, use these to deliver the service and protect it from attacks. We run no analytics and no advertising, and we don't build a picture of your visits.
The email box at the foot of the home page
What you type there stays in your browser. It is handed to the booking form in the same tab and deleted the moment the form reads it. It reaches us only if you go on to book.

Giving us your details is your choice. Without a name and an email address we can't book the call, but you can always write to us instead.

We don't record calls, and we won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing you didn't ask for.

Our legal grounds

United Kingdom and European Union. Booking a call and answering your emails are steps you ask us to take before we might work together (Article 6(1)(b) of the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR). Keeping the site running and secure is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)). Keeping business and tax records is a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

India. We handle your details as the Information Technology Act 2000 and its 2011 rules on personal information require, and use them only for the purpose you give them to us, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 allows.

Everywhere else. We use your details only for the purposes in this policy.

Who else handles your details

Three companies handle details for us, each under its own terms to protect them:

Cal.com, Inc. United States
Runs the booking calendar. It stores your booking and handles it on our instructions.
Google LLC United States
Your booking is added to our Google Calendar, the call takes place on Google Meet, and our email runs on Gmail. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy.
Cloudflare, Inc. United States
Hosts this website.

We never sell or rent your details, and never share them for advertising. We would disclose them otherwise only if the law requires it, for example to answer a court order.

Your details outside your country

We are in India, and the companies above store data in the United States and elsewhere. Where UK or EU law applies, these transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension, or on the standard contractual clauses approved for the purpose, under each company's terms.

How long we keep them

Only as long as we need them. Booking details and emails stay while we arrange and follow up the call. If we go on to work together, we keep what the work and our tax and legal records need, for as long as the law asks.

We review what we hold at least once a year and delete what we no longer need. Cloudflare keeps its technical records for a short time under its own policy. The notes this site keeps in your browser are cleared when you close the tab.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • show you the details we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything wrong or out of date;
  • delete your details;
  • stop or limit a use of them, or object to it;
  • send your details to you or to another company in a common format.

You can also withdraw your agreement to our using your details at any time, as easily as you gave it. We'll stop, though we may then be unable to hold the call.

Write to andromedastudiosweb@gmail.com. We'll confirm we have your request within 30 days and answer within one month, or tell you within that month if a complex request needs longer, as the law allows. We may ask you to confirm it is you before we act. There is no charge.

In India, you can also name someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.

Questions and complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, tell us first at andromedastudiosweb@gmail.com. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and resolve it within one month.

Grievance officer (India): Rishabh Govindu, andromedastudiosweb@gmail.com.

You can also complain to the regulator where you live:

Children

Our calls are for business owners and their teams, and are for adults only. Before booking, we ask you to confirm you are 18 or over. We don't knowingly collect details from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we delete them.

Cookies and your browser

This site sets no cookies of its own and loads no trackers, so there is no cookie banner. It keeps three small notes in your browser's storage for the current tab. They never leave your device and are cleared when you close the tab:

  • your sound choice, once you use the sound switch, so it stays the same from page to page;
  • the currency you pick in the prices, for the same reason;
  • the email you type in the box at the foot of the home page, handed to the booking form and deleted the moment the form reads it.

The booking calendar talks to Cal.com directly from your browser, to show free times and make the booking. It sends no cookies and sets none. Cloudflare, our host, may set a security cookie only if it has to check that a visitor isn't an automated attack; that cookie is strictly necessary and is not used to follow you.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We don't track you across websites, so there is nothing for these signals to switch off. If your browser sends them, the site works exactly the same.

Keeping your details safe

We work to a written security standard, checked before every release. The site is served only over an encrypted connection with strict security settings, and it never asks for a password or payment details. The accounts that hold your details are protected with two-step sign-in. If a breach ever puts your details at risk, we'll tell you and the regulators as the law requires.

Decisions about you

No decision about you is made by a machine alone. Every booking and every email is read by a person.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use details you've already given us, we'll tell you by email first.
